“The Rise of Gyumri Technology Center on My Example” Hackathon Winners are Known!

One of the biggest technological contests in Gyumri, “The Rise of Gyumri Technology Center on My Example” hackathon having taken place on December 18-19 had 120 participants from Gyumri Technological Center (GTC), TUMO Center for Creative Technologies and Gyumri IT Center. The participants were required to come up with solutions devoted to their beloved city. They had 24 hours for idea generation and preparation of prototypes. Afterwards, they presented their ideas to the members of jury and the winners were chosen.

Royal Hackers team won the first place, and were awarded with tablets from “Balasanyan Family” foundation.

4ideas won the second place and a chance to take part in TUMO seminar for free, where they will receive assistance from specialists in order to realize their idea.

Cicada team won the third place and a chance to work with a personal mentor who will help them with their project to make it more attractive for the investors. The preparatory work will take place in Aghveran. The third place award was sponsored by Enterprise Incubator Foundation.

In addition, to this, RIGO team also received a consolation prize for the best presentation, a tablet from “Balasanyan Family” foundation.

The organizers of the hackathon are EIF, GTC, TUMO and Gyumri municipality. “Balasanyan Family” foundation supported the contest.

“Gyumri Technology Center has become the favorite spot of Gyumri youth, where they realize their ideas, become demanded specialists and get acquainted with the recent developments and trends of the field. The hackathon is another chance for them to turn their ideas into reality”, Amalya Yeghoyan, head of GTC capacity building, noted.
